Taryn is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian & Advanced Sports Dietitian. She has a wide range of experience working over the past 10 years in the clinical, community & private practice settings consulting to a wide range of clients to help them achieve their health goals.
Sports nutrition is her passion & she founded Dietitian Approved to help people eat for both Health and Performance in sport and in life. She has worked with numerous athletes & sports including triathlon, ironman, swimming, cycling, running, jockey’s, polocrosse, crossfitters & the everyday athlete wanting to be fit and healthy.
She also consults to Triathlon Australia, looking after our Australian Triathlon and Para-Triathlon team. The mix of private practice and elite sport is her absolute dream job! It also means elite level, best-practice and evidence-based nutrition is passed on to the everyday “athlete” so you can be assured you’re getting the best nutrition information there is.
Taryn is also a trained Anthropometrist, which means she is qualified to assess body composition with skin folds to the international standard.
As an “athlete” herself, Taryn knows first-hand the demands training has on your lifestyle. Growing up she balanced swimming with netball & she now competes in sprint & olympic distance triathlons while dabbling in a bit of CrossFit/Weight training.

Renee is a committed foodie, turning her passion for great tasting, healthy food into her career. When Renee isn’t consulting, she is often found in the kitchen trialing a new recipe for the week. She is also an environmentalist at heart and believes in the benefits of a plant-based diet. Whether that be reducing all, some or few animal products she is our plant-based expert and if this is something you’re interested in, she can help you discover what works best for you.
Renee has clinical experience within the private practice setting and loves facilitating cooking workshops within the community. Both environments expose her to a huge variety of clients, all requiring specific nutritional guidance to reach their health and performance goals.
Running and weight training are her sports of choice and she loves competing in the half marathon distance.

Leslie is our behind the scenes wing woman who you’ll have the pleasure of speaking with and emailing when you book an appointment. She keeps us under control so we can focus on doing what we do best – being Sports Dietitian’s.
Leslie is addicted to boxing and lifting weights and when she’s not responding to emails, you can find her in the gym beating up the boys. Her favourite food is a popular Filipino soup dish – Sinigang na Baboy (Pork in Sour Broth). Although we’re always trying to get her to eat more vegetables 🙂

We believe an individualised nutrition plan is key to optimal sports performance. You spend hours & hours training, but if you haven’t got your nutrition sorted it can be harder to reach your goals. Spend a little time on your nutrition to improve your health, maintain your desired body composition & enhance performance in your sport. It’s cheaper than buying a new bike!
